Black Hills Astronomical Society
Rapid City, South Dakota, USA
The Black Hills
Astronomical Society (BHAS) meets on the third Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. (September through
May) at the Journey Museum, 222 New York Street. Our
meetings begin with a program to which the public is invited
free of charge. Following the program, we have a business
meeting which is open to all who are interested.
Our "Star Parties" are held on scheduled Friday evenings in the
summer at the Hidden Valley Observatory
starting at dusk unless the sky is cloudy or the moon is too
near to full. There is no charge, but donations are
welcome.
