May 14 - Lions Young Leaders in Service Program -
Paige Westra from Rapid City Central High School was the
winner of Lions Young Leaders In Service Award. Paige was chosen as the
winner with over 250 community hours which included working with young children,
public health volunteering, and community improvements. This was the fourth year
Rapid City Downtown Lions has sponsored this award. Presenting the $1000.00
scholarship was Lion President Dennis Schaar and Lion Carla Jobgen.
