The snow started coming down in Rapid City during the late hours of Friday, November 18th, 2011.

By Saturday, late in the morning, it had pretty well stopped, but we had 7 inches on the ground -

Looking east from my house, you can see the snow burden placed on the tree limbs -

Later, in the afternoon, the sun was out, but the snow was still heavy:

Saturday night featured ice crystals in the air causing point light sources to form pillars of light:

Then on Sunday afternoon, you could still see the snow that was left on bare tree limbs:

On Friday, there was still enough snow to record the the tracks left by the deer trekking through my yard, and by a meter reader:
